NFL Odds Report 9/8: OVER Receiving Yards Dede Westbrook +52.5, Mark Ingram +17.5 + Hunter Henry +52.5

NFL odds report 2

Week 1 of the NFL season kicks into high gear this afternoon with 12 games on the card. Throughout the week, I’ve given you my best plays of the week and today I will unveil my three best player prop bets and review my top plays. I am 0-2 thus far on the NFL season, but started 2-1 on Saturday with college football. Throughout the NFL season on CA Betting News, I will provide you with my top plays for the week which includes at least one California team which I analyze on Fridays. Throughout the sports betting season, we will use the most updated odds from FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are my three bets player props for Sunday:

Dede Westbrook (Jac) OVER 52.5 yards receiving

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Westbrook OVER 52.5 yards receiving (-112)

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds Westbrook OVER 52.5 yards receiving (-112)

jaguarsWithout a doubt, my favorite player prop of the day. Dede Westbrook is going to be a fantasy owner’s dream after Sunday. The wide receiver is ready for a breakout season and has just the perfect quarterback to help him do that in Nick Foles. To me, this is a really low number as I think Westbrook will get at least 75 yards on the day. The Chiefs were 29th a year ago in pass defense, giving up 4,000 yards through the air. In last year’s contest in Kansas City, Westbrook caught three balls for 55 yards. It’s hard to look at last year’s performances because of the ineffectiveness of Blake Bortles at quarterback. Foles and Westbrook had a lot of chemistry in their dress rehearsal game a few weeks back in Miami where Westbrook caught four passes and had six targets in just one quarter of action. I really think Westbrook has a big day today and goes over the total receiving yards.

Mark Ingram OVER 17.5 yards receiving yards

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Ingram OVER 17.5 yards receiving (-103)

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Ingram OVER 17.5 yards receiving (-106)

ravensMark Ingram comes into the season for the Ravens as the No. 1 back, heading a backfield of himself, rookie Justice Hill and Gus Edwards. Ingram will get a lot more playing time in Baltimore than he did New Orleans and will get some looks as a receiver, where he racked up a lot of yards in his prime years. The reason I love this prop is I think the Baltimore offense is going to be on the field a lot, giving Ingram a lot of snaps. The Ravens defense should be able to shut down Miami’s subpar offense and the Ravens are a running and short-passing team with Lamar Jackson. There will be a lot of screen passes to receivers and backs, and at 17.5 yards, it won’t take more than maybe one reception for Ingram to go over that total if he can break loose a bit. It’s a low number for a pass-catching running back. I’ll go over that total.

Hunter Henry OVER 52.5 yards receiving

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Henry OVER 52.5 yards receiving (-112)

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Henry OVER 52.5 yards receiving (-115)

chargersThe Los Angeles Chargers are ecstatic to get their top tight end back this year after missing the entire regular season a year ago with an ACL tear. Expect Hunter Henry to get plenty of action and targets on Sunday. The Indianapolis Colts gave up the most yards to tight ends in the NFL a year ago, over 77 yards per game. Henry is already recognized as one of the top targeted tight ends in the game, so going over 52.5 yards today shouldn’t be a problem for him. Without Melvin Gordon, the Chargers won’t likely change their game plan too much, but given the Colts suspect pass defense, they could air it out a bit more. With no Andrew Luck, the Colts offense will likely not be as strong, meaning more punts and opportunities for the Chargers offense to move the ball and utilize Henry. I like the over here. I think Henry has a big first game back and makes his presence known as one of the game’s top tight ends.
