Week 5 kicks off today with 26 teams in action. Part of that action includes the Rams hosting the Buccaneers and the Chargers traveling to Miami to play the Dolphins. The 49ers have a bye week. Today, I’ve got my best three player props for you. Overall on the season, I am 18-12 against the spread and 5-6 in my player props. I also had a solid day in college football yesterday going 3-0 in my top plays and 7-4 for the week playing the spread. Each week on CA Betting News, I will break provide at least one game per day on my best players for the upcoming week during the NFL betting season. Here are my best three player props and a rundown of all my week’s plays below using the most updated odds from FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKing Sportsbook.
Table of Contents
Kyler Murray OVER 23.5 rushing yards
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Murray OVER 23.5 rushing yards
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Murray OVER 23.5 rushing yards
This was one of my winning plays a week ago and I’m going to ride it again. A week ago, Kyler Murray had 8 rushes for 69 yards at home in a losing effort against Carolina. Seattle comes in with an average rushing defense, but got torched a week ago by Alvin Kamara. I expect Murray and the Cardinals to try to run the ball a lot against Seattle as Russell Wilson and Murray should both rack up some good rushing yards. I still think 23.5 yards is a low number and one that Murray should be able to get in his sleep if he’s utilized in the run game enough like he was a week ago. I expect him to get several runs tomorrow and to break a couple long ones. I like the over 23.5 yards on this prop.
Prediction: Murray 7 rushes, 45 yards
Will Dissly OVER 3.5 receptions
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Dissly OVER 3.5 receptions
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Dissly OVER 3.5 receptions
There has been no worse team than the Arizona Cardinals when it’s come to covering tight ends. Through three games, the Cardinals have given up 100+ yard performances to T.J. Hockenson, Mark Andrews, and Greg Olsen. Enter Will Dissly who has emerged as Seattle’s clear No. 1 Tight End, so much so they traded away Nick Vannett to the Steelers, giving Dissly full-time playing time. Dissly has caught 11 passes over the last two games and looks to be a prime target for Russell Wilson this week as they go up against a horrible Cardinals pass defense. I’m staying away from the yard total as Dissly’s been held under in yardage the last two games while racking up catches. I think he will easily get at least four catches in this game. I like the over 3.5 receptions.
Prediction: Will Dissly 6 catches, 79 yards, 1 TD
Patrick Mahomes OVER 315.5 passing yards
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Mahomes OVER 329.5 passing yards
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Mahomes OVER 315.5 passing yards
I would get this number on DK while you can as I was surprised it it listed as low as it is. This is a bargain price while most other books have this number in the high 320s or low 330s. When I saw it, I had to jump on it. In Patrick Mahomes’ first three games, he has thrown for 378 yards, 443 yards, and 374 yards respectively. He leads the NFL in passing yardage and goes up against a Lions defense which ranks No. 22 against the pass. Throw in the perfect indoor environment and the fact the Chiefs are missing their top running back and are likely to air it out more often and this prop sounds too good to be true. Mahomes should air it out early and often in this game. You just worry about KC building a big lead in this game and halting the passing game before Mahomes gets to 315 yards passing. I will still roll the dice and say he clears this number easily. If he can throw for 378 on a difficult Jaguars pass defense, he sure as heck can do it on an average Lions pass defense. Take the over here while the number is hot.
Prediction: Patrick Mahomes 398 passing yards, 3 TDs
