NFL Odds Report: 9/19: Titans -125 OVER Jaguars and D.J. Chark OVER 42.5 yards receiving

NFL odds report dede

Week 3 kicks off tonight when the Titans face off against the Jaguars in an AFC South rivalry. I look to improve upon my 15-12 record to start the season with a strong night on Thursday. Every day on CA Betting News, I will break down and analyze at least one NFL game and tell you who to put your money down on. During the NFL betting g season, I will give you my top three plays on Sunday and best player props on Sunday. Here are my plays for Thursday Night Football using the most updated odds from FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKing Sportsbook:

Tennessee Titans -125 @ Jacksonville Jaguars

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Ten -118

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Ten -125

titansFor starters, there’s not a whole in this game that I like. Even this play, I don’t have a ton of confidence in it, but there’s one thing I do know about having lived in Jacksonville for three years: The Titans own the Jaguars. Tennessee is 6-1 against Jacksonville in the team’s last 7 contests, including winning the last four contests. In their last four wins, the Titans have won by a combined 50 points. Jacksonville is without Nick Foles for the next couple months and are leaning on the arm of Gardner Minshew II who has not played bad in his first two contests, but plays a tough Tennessee defense who shut down Baker Mayfield two weeks ago. I think the Jaguars hang around for a while and keep this game low scoring through the first half, and I think the first half under is a good play, although it’s a bit too low for me at 18.5. However, in the second half, I think the Titans figure the Jaguars defense out and get some points and find a way to win the game. I like the Titans for the win.

Prediction: Titans 20, Jaguars 10

C.J. Chark OVER 42.5 yards receiving vs. Titans

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Chark OVER 43.5 yards receiving

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Chark OVER 42.5 yards receiving

jaguarsWhile listed behind Dede Westbrook and Marquise Lee on the official depth chart, make no doubt about it that D.J. Chark is Garner Minshew II’s go to guy in the passing game. Minshew II’s work with Chark during the preseason has paid off, while it’s hurt Westbrook’s value who was accustomed to Nick Foles.  In the first two games of the season, Chark has totaled 11 catches for 201 yards and has been targeted 15 times. Because these are his first two breakout games, Vegas has kept his receiving total low, not trusting the fact that these numbers are going to stay consistent. But I think they will. I truly believe there’s a comfortability with Minshew II and Chark and 42.5 is a pretty low number. If Jacksonville is playing behind a lot of the game, like I believe they will be based on my first bet, expect Chark to catch some passes. He has the ability to break this total in just one reception as he has the deep play threat Minshew II needs. I like Chark over 42.5 yards in this game.

Prediction: Chark 6 catches, 69 yards
