NFL Odds Report 9/14: Todd Gurley OVER 65.5 rushing yards vs. NO

NFL odds report 1

We are a day away from Week 2 kicking off in full with a slate of 13 games on the card. Thus far, I am 8-8 on the NFL season playing the number and 2-1 in my top plays. Each day during the NFL betting season, we will provide you with at least one play a day on CA Betting News with my top three plays coming on Friday, which includes a California team’s game. On Sundays, I will give you my top player props for the week. Here is of my NFL plays for Sunday using the latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook:

Todd Gurley OVER 65.5 yards rushing vs. New Orleans

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Gurley OVER 65.5 rushing yards

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Gurley OVER 67.5 rushing yards

Like I indicated in my top plays on Friday, I do believe one of the reasons Todd Gurley was held back a bit in their week 1 game was to save him for this week’s huge contest against the Saints, which could be a big factor in home field advantage at the end of the season. Still, with Gurley being held back last week, he totaled 97 total rushing yards on just 14 carries. A year ago in New Orleans, Gurley was able to get 68 total rushing yards in the team’s first matchup of the season (the second matchup Gurley only got four carries). In Gurley’s 12 games where he got a full compliment of carries last year, he totaled 68+ yards in 9 of them. New Orleans’ defense will likely be a bit tired from a short week and a cross-country road trip. The Saints defense a week ago struggled against the run, giving up 140 yards to Texans running backs at home. I am starting my player props picks a little early this weekend. I expect at least 18 carries from Gurley on Sunday and love this over number that is posted on FD.

Prediction: Todd Gurley 94 rushing yards
