NFL Odds Report 12/27: Bucs -2 vs. Falcons, Titans -3 vs. Texans

NFL odds report evans

We are just two days away from the end of the NFL regular season. Thus far this season, we are 94-76-2 on the season playing the number. Each day on CA Betting News, we will give you our top plays for the NFL and mix in some college football postseason plays as well. Here are some more of our best plays for the final week of the NFL season using the latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKing Sportsbook.

Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers -1

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: TB -1

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: TB -1

This is a lot better game than the records may indicate. The Bucs come in winners of 4 of their last 5 while the Falcons enter winning their last four. The Bucs were able to dominate the Falcons in these teams’ first game of the season, although the Falcons were banged up offensively. The Bucs are the team banged up here on offense, missing both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. However, the Bucs showed in the game vs. Houston that Jameis Winston can still move the football without those two in the lineup. The Bucs defense is the reason I like the Bucs here. They have been a completely different unit over the last five games as Todd Bowles has found a way to turn this defense around into a legitimate one. Not only are they still the No. 1 defense against the run, they have improved against the pass. Over the last five games, they rank in the top-10 against the pass. While the Falcons have also improved a lot of late, defensively there are still holes that will struggle to stop Winston and the passing attack. They rank No. 23 in the NFL against the pass. I like the Bucs to control this game and beat the Falcons at home to end the season.

Prediction: Bucs 27, Falcons 20

Tennessee Titans -3 @ Houston Texans

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Ten -3

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Ten -3

The word is the Texans are all in and are playing to win, but I don’t expect that statement to hold must truth as the game goes on. Deschaun Watson is questionable and the Texans would be crazy to play with a playoff game next week and them already locked into the 4 seed. The Texans will likely rest Will Fuller and others who are banged up while the healthy guys will play for a while. The Titans, on the other hand, need this game desperately. Their season rides on the line. A win and they’re in the playoffs. A loss and the Steelers or the Raiders have the opportunity to pass them up. I simply don’t expect Watson to play here and the Titans will take advantage of A.J. McCarron playing in most of this game. I like the Titans to win big and enter the postseason where they will travel to Kansas City next week.

Prediction: Titans 26, Texans 14
