We are one day away from the start of week 12 and the Thursday night matchup between the Texans and the Colts. Thus far this season, I am 70-58-1 all my plays, which includes spreads, totals, and props. Every day on CA Betting News, I will give you give you with the best plays for the week of NFL action and on Saturdays, I will give you my best college football plays. Here is another one of my week 12 plays using plays using the latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKing Sportsbook.
Detroit Lions @ Washington Redskins 1H OVER 20.5
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Det-Was OVER 21
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Det-Was OVER 21
The first thought is you have a rookie quarterback and a backup quarterback starting in this game; it has to go under the total. But I look at the other side of things. You have two defenses who rank near the bottom of the league, with the Lions defense sinking as low as 30th in the NFL. The Lions showed last week they can move the football with Jeff Driskel at quarterback, and if Matthew Stafford starts, we know their offensive ability. The Lions have weapons that made them a No. 8 total offense in the NFL. I am worried about a slower second half to this game as the Lions could turn to the run should they get the lead. Can the Redskins offensive line block for Dwayne Haskins? That’s the million dollar question, but Washington does have playmakers that can make big plays, one of those being Terry McLaurin who should be able to make a big play against the No. 30 pass defense in the first half. I am going to go over this total, but could hedge should Sunday’s weather turn ugly in the Northeast.
Prediction: Halftime Lions 17, Redskins 14
Atlanta Falcons OVER 27.5 TT points vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Atl OVER 27.5 points
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Atl OVER 27.5 points
I am not going to go into a huge breakdown of this game as I went into this game in greater detail yesterday as to why I liked the Falcons -4.5 points. The Bucs pass defense is a mess, ranking No. 31 in the NFL. Atlanta’s pass offense ranks No. 10 in the NFL, and that’s with missing Matt Ryan for two games. The Bucs have given up monster games to receivers such as D.K. Metcalf, Darius Slayton, and A.J. Brown thus far this year. Good luck slowing down Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Austin Hooper. The Falcons will score a lot of points in this game. Their offense is too good for the Bucs defense. Take the Falcons over team total.
Prediction: Falcons 34, Bucs 20
