NFL Odds Report 10/2: Bucs OVER 21. 5 total team points @ Saints

NFL odds report hopkins

Week 5 will kick off on Thursday night with a matchup in Seattle between the Rams and Seahawks. I will have a pick for that game on Thursday morning. Every day on CA Betting News, I will break down at least one NFL game for the upcoming week using the latest odds from DraftKing Sportsbook and FanDuel Sporsbook. Every Friday, I will provide for you my top 3 plays of the week, in which I am 9-3 on the NFL betting season thus far. Here is one of my plays for Week 5.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers OVER 21.5 team points

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: TB OVER 21.5 team points

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: TB OVER 21.5 team points

bucsTwo weeks ago, I put down a futures bet on the Buccaneers at +800 to win the NFC South. Since then, those odds have come down to +450. I have jumped on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers bandwagon and am riding in the front seat. On Sunday, they face a critical division battle in New Orleans against the Saints. The Bucs offense is ranked in the top-10 in the NFL and has scored 86 points the last two games against the Giants and the Rams. They are clearly finding their way in Bruce Arians’ offense after a sluggish start the first couple weeks. It will be a challenge this week as they face a Saints defense who shut down the Cowboys a week ago at the Superdome. However, how much of a hangover effect will the Saints have after a huge game a week ago? Despite a strong performance a week ago, the Saints rank No. 26 in the NFL in total defense and No. 24 against the pass. On the other side of things, the Bucs rank No. 8 in passing offense and have been No. 1 over the last two weeks. Last year at the Superdome, the Bucs scored 48 points, albeit behind Ryan Fitzpatrick under center. I see 21.5 as a pretty low number here and think the Bucs get over that by the third quarter and have a good chance of winning the game this Sunday. Look for the Saints to have a little letdown after a brutal stretch of four games against the Texans, Rams, Seahawks, and Cowboys, all nationally televised games. The Bucs go over their total points in the game, but they may even win this game.

Prediction: Bucs 31, Saints 28
