NFL Odds Report 10/1: Patriots -8.5 1H @ Redskins

NFL odds report 3

After winning my first half under bet on Monday night my record at the end of Week 4 is now 29-22 playing the number on the season and 9-3 on my top plays, which I unveil on Fridays. It’s been a solid NFL betting season so far to say the least. Each day on CA Betting News, I will break down an upcoming week’s game and start on Tuesday with my first play for week 6. Here’s an early peak of my first play of the week using the latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKing Sportsbook.

New England Patriots -8.5 1H @ Washington Redskins

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: NE -8.5 1H

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: NE -8.5 1H

patriotsThe 4-0 New England Patriots travel to the nation’s capital to take on the 0-4 Washington Redskins who are coming off a dreadful performance a week ago in New York. The Redskins are a mess, so much so that one of three quarterbacks are in play to start this Sunday, and it’s not because all three have impressed. In door number one it’s Case Keenum, door number two has Dwayne Haskins, and at door number three it’s Colt McCoy. The Patriots defense awaits, a defense who has allowed just one offensive touchdown all season, which happened to come a week ago in Buffalo. They have forced poor quarterback play and there’s no reason to think it won’t happen again this weekend. I can’t see the Redskins having any success given how bad the last few weeks have looked for them. One bright spot is they could get Terry McLaurin back this Sunday. However, ranked No. 31 defensively in the league against the pass, the Redskins are forced to try and slow down a dynamic Patriots offense who had its struggles against the Bills past defense last week, but the Redskins are not the Bills. I like the Patriots to get up big early, and like the Jets game, open the door for a possible back door cover late which is why I will stick to just the first half cover. The Patriots should be up double digits at the half.

Prediction: Halftime score Patriots 20, Redskins 3
