DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Bal OVER 27.5 TT
So far in the playoffs, defenses have reigned. No games have seen a team go over a team total 26 points in a contest, and the one that hit 26 did it in overtime. However, things are about to change this weekend starting Saturday night in Baltimore. The Titans defense played solid last week, I must give them credit for that. But doing that against an aging Tom Brady with no weapons and doing it against a dominant Lamar Jackson and the Ravens running offense are two totally different things. The Titans have done a decent job stopping the run this year, ranking No. 12 in the NFL and holding opponents to 105 yards/game. But they have to face a Ravens rushing offense which ranked No. 1 and averaged an incredible 206 yards/game! Furthermore, not counting the last game where the Ravens benched their starters, they compiled more than 28 points in 7 of their last 9 games including 3 games where they topped 40 points.
This is a dangerous offense and the Titans don’t have the defense to slow them down. The massive Ravens O-line should be able to control a below-average-sized Titans front four. Of course, it’s not just about the run. Lamar Jackson has the ability to beat teams with his arm, not just just his legs, which helps make the case for his MVP this year. Keep an eye on the weather, though. While it is expected to incredible warm for Baltimore on Saturday night with temperatures in the 60s, there is forecast to be rain and some wind. This is only going to keep the game on the ground and could aid the under moreso with Derrick Henry leading the way for the Titans. I’ll look at player props for this game a little more closely this weekend, but as far as this game goes, I don’t know if the Ravens can pull away from Tennessee, but I do think they can pile up some points with Lamar Jackson. Asking him to score four touchdowns against this average Titans defense isn’t a lot. I’ll keep an eye on the weather and could hedge a bit later this week, but for now, I’ll stick to the over on this point total.
Prediction: Ravens 31, Titans 22
